Custom fields can now be added to line items for ALL invoice object types including Vendor invoices and quotes, Client invoices and quotes, purchase orders and expenses. This enhancement is to allow users to add more information to their line items they can not currently added with the existing global fields. Customers may benefit from adding more information for tracking needs as well.
From the Custom Fields grid, the new custom field types for subcontractor invoices, subcontractor quotes, client invoices and client quotes will be found in the dropdown when clicking the plus sign to add a new custom field.
The same custom field types such as togglefield, textfield, datefield and so on are available options for the line item custom fields as well.
The custom fields will appear at the bottom of the window when adding new line items.
Each of the selected custom fields will have their own column on the invoice line item grid.
Again, the line item custom field enhancement is meant to allow customers to include information not meaningful as a Fexa concept, but more specific to their business practice needs.
