Users can combine Multiple file attachments into one PDF file. This will allow for a combination of PDF files and any of Fexa’s common image document files. When viewing the files page of a work order, users will now see a new HAND Icon.
After clicking the hand, users will be prompted to select the document files they wish to combine. There will be numbers next to the documents in the upper left corner representing the order the documents will appear on the new PDF. Users can choose to select these documents in any preferred order.
Once the desired files have all been selected, users will click the FInish Combining Documents button, which is the check mark. If there is a need to start over, the Hand Button can be selected again, and it will clear out all of the previous selections, allowing users to start over. The images can also be unselected by clicking on them again.
After clicking the check mark, users will see a window pop up for the new file name, type, Attach to: and description.
After submitting this information, a message will pop up letting users know the combined file is now being created and please check back in a few minutes. This usually will only take a few seconds, but could take longer depending on the number of files chosen. Users will need to refresh the screen, by clicking the refresh button on the page, and the new combined file will appear.
The new file can be viewed by clicking either the document view icon, which opens a new page or the preview window Icon, which opens the preview pane.
Each of the combined documents will have its own page, in the order they were selected, on the PDF. Larger images will shrink down to fit the file page. If the process fails, an email will be sent to the user who created the file.
