Stub Assets

Assets can be created by non-internal users, such as technicians or vendors, directly from the work order screen on both Fexa Desktop and the Fexa Mobile App. The functionality for mobile is nearly the same as all of the below.
Stub Assets allow users to create an unverified asset that does not exist for that store. This is helpful if, for example, the user did work on an A/C unit and wants to track that for invoicing purposes.

The proper permissions are needed to create assets using this feature, verify assets, merge assets, and view the asset templates. Please reach out to the helpdesk should you want anyone on your team or vendors to have access!

The work order will have new verbiage that says "Don't See Your Asset Here? Create One!": Screen_Shot_2022-02-07_at_8.25.34_PM.png

This will look the same on desktop and mobile.

Adding a Stub Asset

Step 1) Click on the "Don't See Your Asset Here? Create One!" that you see in the picture above.
Step 2) When the pop-up appears, fill out the information and click save.

When you save the asset, you will be navigated to the Asset that now lives on the asset grid where you can update the asset like usual:

New Icons:

As referenced above, when assets are created in this manner, they are unverified. Typically, Admins will have access to verify these to make the newly created asset its own asset.

Unverified assets will show that they are Unverified when attempting to use them on line items, or when on the WO Overview screen:

After you've verified the asset, the asset will show a small blue checkmark next to the name:

Merge Asset Icon:

The merge icon allows users to merge ONLY unverified assets into existing verified assets. This is useful in case the asset was a duplicate. In order to keep the asset grid nice and tidy, merging duplicates can be very important!

When you click on the merge asset icon, the following pop-up will appear allowing you to enter the ID of the asset you want to merge to:

Once you do that, you'll be navigated to the verified asset. You can simply close out of the unverified page and refresh your asset grid. It will no longer be on the grid.

Note: If your site won't benefit from this feature and want to completely hide this feature from users, please reach out to the HD.
